​​This project was to create an interesting calendar for 6 month out of the year. SImple enough, until you get down to it! I made this using Illustrator. The concept grew from an appropriating of existing subway lines to using the lines to represent the months. So as you can see, the lines spell out (creatively) the months and the stops are the days and holidays. Most challenging about this project was the project it self, it probably took me months to finally decide on a concept- but then it was smooth sailing until I hit the background. Originally I had a dark land mass behind the map, but i toned that down and added a grid. I have these hanging in my house and I always get asked what subway it’s for!
